Responsibilities of the Candidate:
• The traditional A&V team has daily, monthly, and weekly NAV valuations with stringent timelines. The team is responsible for performing capital activity bookings, accruals, amortization, yields, leading to the final generation and validation of NAV through diagnostic checks, FMR and post NAV activities.
• The team also performs other Monthly & Reporting activities, which include Fee Reviews. XD Distribution, Trustee Packs and Queries, Regulatory & Client Reporting. The A&V team is responsible functionally across multiple jurisdictions (where applicable) serviced out of MSS Kol.
• Individual joining is expected to prepare accurate NAV packs of Traditional fund portfolios and related activities on a timely basis with expected quality.
• Will be responsible for ensuring quality pack deliverables for several portfolios of Traditional funds. Promote relentless focus on service quality across Traditional Fund portfolios
• Implement key changes in the process and deliver continuous process improvement. Capture accurate and right data ( ICATs, daily tracker, etc ) for the purpose of MIS
• The individual will have to complete all the activities of the assigned funds within the set time limit and ensure that the accurate pack is delivered to the stakeholders within the PLA.
• The individual needs to be flexible to work shifts and respond to additional business needs if required.Be flexible to adapt to different working environments with counterparts across the globe.
• The role will interface with all other relevant MSS Departments and with HSBC global offices as appropriate.
Requirements:
• Bachelor s degree in accounting or other qualifications relevant to the accounting/finance industry.
• 0-2 years of relevant/accounting work experience.
• Good knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial instruments, accounting principles and fundamentals of accounting.
• Earlier experience in custody/brokerage/funds services/depository industry.
• Basic knowledge of end-to-end product and process, multiple markets, and regulations. Proficiency in Excel essential, Life cycle of NAV process.
• Basic understanding of the E2E Fund Accounting Model. Knowledge of Derivatives Instruments. Basic knowledge in custody, brokerage, depository, investment accounting, mutual funds and reconciliations.
• Must be aware of the operational risk scenarios associated with this role and act upon pertinent risk (if any). Graduate/CA/ ICWA/ CS / PGDBM/MBA in Finance or CFA (D).
• Will be expected to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators.
