Associate - Data Scientist

Bain & Company is hiring for the role of Data Scientist Associate! Responsibilities of the Candidate: • Analyse large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and support data-driven decision-making. • Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for business use cases. • Apply advanced analytics techniques such as segmentation, forecasting, optimisation, and causal inference. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand problem statements and translate them into analytical solutions. • Work with data engineers to source, clean, and prepare data for modelling and analysis. • Create clear and compelling visualisations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate insights effectively. • Support development of scalable analytics solutions and contribute to model deployment in production environments. • Evaluate model performance and continuously improve models through experimentation and iteration. • Contribute to the development of reusable analytics assets and Bain intellectual property. • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning techniques. Requirements: • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields. • 2 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles. • Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.). • Experience with machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis. • Familiarity with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design. • Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets at scale using SQL and/or big data tools. • Exposure to ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). • Ability to translate business problems into analytical approaches and derive actionable insights. • Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based libraries. • Prior exposure to consulting or working with cross-functional stakeholders is a plus.
