HSBC is hiring for the role of Assistant Operations Manager! Responsibilities of the Candidate: • Acquire a broad understanding of all the Corporate Action processes and market specifications for various markets assigned and to allocate work daily to Global Support Executives. • Overseeing the processes and to handle escalations and process related query resolutions. Plan capacity daily and intra-day based on projections and volume analysis and allocate/reallocate resources within the team. • Ensure compliance with audit requirements by performing audit checks as required by process in line with business process requirements. • The successful candidate will be responsible for Mandatory Claims process within Asset Servicing and Tax Services for Market Operations across multiple balance sheets in Bangalore adhering to all policies, risk and controls, regulatory and compliance requirements. • The role occupant is also responsible for processing the day-to-day events, ensuring controls are adhered to, and client queries are turned around quick. • Complete the BAU process as a team that s focused on Asset Services Equities / Fixed Income process across multiple entities focusing on technical aspects. • Lead by example through service excellence and driving quality initiatives for improved Customer Satisfaction. Supporting the initiatives undertaken by the management. Maintain general work environment in good condition and ensure that issues/problems are investigated/resolved immediately or escalated to Line Manager • Work with the change team to provide detailed requirements and ensure projects are delivered on time. To support Business Continuity Plan by adhering to Group BCP guidelines. Requirements: • At least 12 months in a supervisory role, with exposure to root cause analysis, team building, and staff development • Experience in Securities processing environment especially in Corporate Action would be an added advantage. • A post-graduate diploma or degree in any discipline and equivalent practical experience • Experience in Global Market Operations, majorly in Asset Services EQ covering Corporate Action on various markets including UK, Europe, Asia and other emerging markets will be highly beneficial. • Asset Services FI covering Corporate Action, coupon and redemption on various markets including UK, Europe, Asia, US and other emerging markets will be an added advantage. • Payment processing and good understanding of Swift. Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge appropriately, understand and interpret numeric data. • Strong understanding of risk and risk management in Corporate Action will be highly beneficial. • Ability to speak and understand English fluently, write business letters and reports, and have good conversational / telephone skills.
